Kingsbridge Food and Music Festival @ Kingsbridge, Saturday 2nd- Sunday 4th June
If you love delicious, locally-produced food and brilliant live music, you’re in the right place! Their aim is very simple – to throw a party to celebrate the eclectic mix of incredible tastes and sounds that originate from the area. There is a diverse range of culinary and acoustics treats to try, so whether you go for one day or three, it’s definitely not one to be missed!

Catch and Cruise @ Brixham Harbour, Saturday 24th June 4-6pm.
Head over to Brixham Harbour on the 24th of June for a summer boat trip in the evening sun, followed by some mackerel fishing and a BBQ. Perfect evening to go with friends or family. Booking required.

Family
Rainbow Activity Trail @ Seaton Wetlands, 1st-30th of June.
The Rainbow Activity Trail is a great place for children and toddlers to explore. Follow the colours of the rainbow through Seaton Wetlands and take part in exciting activities at each point along the trail (but don’t disturb the Troll underneath the bridges!). Short sections are unsuitable for buggies, but they can be left nearby.

Dartmouth Art and Craft Weekend @ Royal Avenue Gardens, Saturday 24th- Sunday 25th June
At the 14th annual Dartmouth Art & Craft Weekend there is loads to see and do. It’s a great chance to watch, talk to and buy from artists and craft workers displaying their talents, as well as grab some homemade cakes and snacks, and watch the kids take part in some activities.

Knightmare Live @ Exeter Phoenix, Wednesday 14th June 8pm
Knightmare live is a live stage adaption of the TV show Knightmare! Hosted by Paul Falnnery as ‘Treguard’, teams of top comedians guide audience members through Lord Fear’s epic and comedic dungeon! It is a child friendly show but may be more suitable to children 13+.

Exmouth Festival @ Exmouth, Friday 26th May – Saturday 3rd June
Exmouth Festival is a large festival, attracting some big names in the world of music as well as up and coming artists. There are plenty of different acts to see, as well as numerous open mic sessions during the week. Who knows? Maybe you will discover the next Ed Sheeran!

Crazy Diamond – Pink Floyd tribute @ Palace Theatre Paignton, Saturday 10th of June 8pm
Are you ready for a full Pink Floyd experience show with choreographed lights, projections and special effects? Crazy Diamond is a progressive rock band playing tribute to the music of Pink Floyd. The band’s approach to Floyd’s music is faithful but not reverential and they are proud of the quality and authenticity of the music they produce via adding their own sparkle to it. If you’re a Pink Floyd fan, this isn’t one to be missed!

Heart of Devon Festival @ Bow, Saturday 17th of June
The Heart of Devon boasts a variety of music from the South West region such as Delta 88, David Treadaway and The Locked Horns Jazz Orchestra. There’s something for everyone here, from folk to jazz, so it’s definitely a festival to check out this June.

Theatre
Far from the Madding Crowd @ Hartland Abbey, Sunday 25th of June 5pm
Set against the backdrop of a wonderful historic house, travelling theatre companies grace the outdoor theatre to put on a variety of productions. Set in Victorian England, ‘Far from the Madding Crowd’ deals with themes of love, honour and betrayal. It describes the farmer Bathsheba Everdene, her life and relationships – especially with her lonely neighbour William Boldwood, the faithful shepherd Gabriel Oak, and the thriftless soldier Sergeant Troy

Plymouth Fringe Festival @ Plymouth, Monday 29th May – Saturday 3rd June
Plymouth Fringe Festival is taking over Plymouth for a week with a large variety of different theatre and stage performances at Theatre Royal, the Barbican Theatre and many more. From classic Shakespeare pieces to devised arts performances, there is something for the avid theatre goer or someone with a vague interest.
Buddy @ Theatre Royal Plymouth, Monday 19th – Saturday 24th June
Forget feel good, Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story is FEEL GREAT! Experience the drama, passion and excitement as a cast of phenomenally talented actors and musicians tell Buddy Holly’s story, from his meteoric rise to fame to his final legendary performance at The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Father’s Day at Pennywell Farm @ Pennywell Farm, Sunday 18th June 10am-5pm
Need a Father’s Day gift your dad will remember? Don’t fret, we’ve got the one for you! At Pennywell Farm there is a free pasty and local ale for all dads, as well as mini golf, fishing and more! There’s also activities for the whole family to get involved with, such as rides, sessions with the animals on the farm and sing-a-longs with our showman Poco Drom!

Torbay Air Show @ Paignton Green, Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th June
The Torbay Airshow is BACK in June showcasing their aerial expertise with stunning displays over the South Devon bay. The bay provides a stunning natural amphitheatre for viewing the air-show, providing a perfect location for the best coastal air-show!
Welly Wanging @ World of Country Life Exmouth, Sunday 18th of June
Back by popular demand – the 2017 Welly Wanging Tournament!
To celebrate dad’s special day, all dads and granddads get free entry to the park as well as free entry into the Welly Wanging competition – with great prizes up for grabs for the winner!
There’s loads of other activities to get involved with, including goat walking, animal handling, bottle feeding, Lamb Racing or Ferret Racing (depending on the weather!), the Hawkridge Birds of Prey flying display and the Deer Train Safari.
