Cornwall has so many fantastic food producers, that it was very difficult to pick ten!
So to celebrate some of the fantastic food that comes out of Cornwall, we have asked our social media followers to give us some suggestions of the best people who produce local food in Cornwall. And we’ll be starting with:
The Real Cornish Crab Company, Newlyn
The Real Cornish Crab Company are suppliers of handpicked crab, ensuring that the quality is tip top! They pride themselves on the fact that the crab they catch is completely sustainable.

Tasty Mac Pac, Hayle
From their two boats, line caught mackerel from St Ives bay are available from April to November, and bass from October to January. Accredited with “Responsible Fishing Scheme” award. Tasty Mac Pac sell for all eight boats in the Hayle Mackerel Handliners Association.
Richards of Cornwall, Hayle
Richards of Cornwall are probably best known for their fantastic daffodil production. The success of their on-farm shop has led them to produce a wide range of fruit and vegetables though which include cauliflower, winter cabbage, strawberries, salad vegetables, pumpkins, squash, onions, leeks, parsnips and broccoli.

Dupath Farm, Callington
Dupath Farm has been in the Coombe family since 1947 and produces home reared beef and lamb. The farm also produces Cornish potatoes, and provides butchery training courses!
Cusgarne Farm, Truro
Cusgarne Farm has been in the Pascoe family since 1800 and produces organic vegetables, fruit, eggs, Angus beef, chutneys, marmalades and jam. The 100-acre organic farm has been running an organic box scheme between Helford, Fowey and the north Cornish coast, for over 20 years.

Buttervilla, St Germans
Buttervilla Growers are a small group based in and around the Tamar Valley who produce a range of exceptional produce; heritage tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries, rhubarb, blueberries, herbs and vegetables, hand grown in Cornwall using organic and natural methods, with much love and care.

The Cornish Mill and Bakehouse is a family farming enterprise, winners of the Duke of Cornwall Award 2011, producing home grown and milled flour and a fine range of breads, cakes, biscuits, pasties (using their own meat), pies and a gluten free range.

Mr. B’s Ice Cream, Hayle
Mr B (and his family) produce a wide range of ice cream, ice cream cakes, and also have an old fashioned ice cream van for hire at events or parties! Artisan ice cream using Cornish and Italian ingredients. Mr B offers a huge range of ice creams from vanilla and fresh strawberries to Dutch apple crumble.
