BinTwo’s lazy afternoon with oysters and wine @ The Arc, Hawksfield, Sunday 16th July 2pm
Katy Davidson, otherwise known as the The Oyster Lady, will be joining BinTwo at The Arc, Hawksfield for an afternoon of oysters and wine where she will be sharing her top tips. You will have chance to try some BBQ cooked oysters, accompanied by wine selected by Padstow based wine merchants BinTwo. Don’t worry if you are an oyster doubter, Katy has managed to convert thousands of dubious visitors at events across the globe!

Tropical Pressure Festival @ Porthtowan, Friday 14th – Sunday 16th July
If you’re a vegetarian make sure not to miss out on this tasty opportunity! Tropical Pressure is a world music festival and strictly veggie, hosting some of the best food stalls from across Cornwall. It promises to offer a delicious range of meals and snacks that all of the family can enjoy. To name a few, deep fried Spanish doughnuts covered in chocolate sauce from Choccy Curros, veggie burgers and sweet potato wedges from Keep Cornwall Fed and intensely moorish wood-fired pizza.

Green Egg Sundays @ The Ship Inn, Wadebridge, Sunday 16th July 5pm
On 16th July The Ship Inn will be hosting its first ever Green Egg Sunday BBQ. It is named after Kernow Fires ‘Big Green Egg’ BBQ which the Wadebridge pub will be borrowing in order to cook up a storm. On offer there will be slow cooked hogget shoulder, bavette steak, sweet potato and halloumi, accompanied by a range of salads. There will also be a DJ and special drinks. Make sure not to miss this delicious debut!

Zestifal @ Falmouth, Thursday 27th – Sunday 30th July
Zestifal will be hosting a range of activities aimed at people of all ages to celebrate Falmouth’s healthy outlook and lifestyle – and the best part is its totally free! The town will be transformed into wonderful fun venues like a giant tennis court, offering group games such as street cricket. You’ll be able to try your hand at zumba, archery, triathlon, climbing, hockey Paddleboarding or Nordic walking. Fun for all the family!

Great British Summer Festival @ Mount Edgcumbe, Saturday 22nd – Sunday 23rd July
Miss Ivy Events invites you to step back in time with their vintage inspired festival in the beautiful Mount Edgcumbe country park. Dinner & Jazz evening @ Trerice Manor, Newlyn East, Friday 28th July 7 – 10pm
During the summer months, to make the most of the lighter evenings Elizabethan Manor, Trerice keeps its doors open a little longer to host a variety of events. At the end of this July cool jazz band ‘Melange’ will be playing during a dinner and jazz evening. Leopallooza Festival @ The Wyldes, Week St Mary, Friday 28th – Sunday 30th July
It has been dubbed ‘the greatest houseparty… in a field’ and has won multiple awards since it first began 11 years ago. If you like to discover new music you will be spoilt for choice with over 100 of the most exciting up and coming and established acts playing across the three days. Headliners this year include Gabrille Aplin, Maximo Park and The Cribs. Theres an added bonus of free camping – fingers crossed for sunshine!

You might recognise Mexican band from the Doritos advert? Well great news, they’re coming to Cornwall! They are certain to put on a fun filled gig with their versions of pop classics with a Mexican twist that include East 17’s ‘Stay Another Day’ and the Human League’s ‘Don’t You Want Me’. You’ll hear the sounds of guitars, accordions and trumpets, a winning combination to get you up on your feet. Also anyone turning up in Mexican themed dress will get free tequila!

Wolf’s Child @ Trelowarren Estate, Lizard, Tuesday 11th – Sunday 30th July 7.30pm (7pm on Sunday’s)
Dubbed ‘mischievous, moving and … utterly magical’ by The Times, Wolf’s Child tells the tale of ‘Mother’ who protects her girls from the dangers of the wild. After being attacked by a wolf, she must send her most trusted girl into the woods where she discovers darkness, love and freedom. The performance is a promenade through the woods, so in order to feel the full effects and follow the action make sure you dress appropriately for all Cornish weathers!

Kiss Me Kate @ The Minack Theatre, Porthcurno, Monday 24th – Friday 28th July 8 – 10.30pm
This is a dazzling show-within-a-show, full of wit, charm and energy. If you are looking for an enjoyable and exciting night out at the theatre, then look no further. Following a touring musical production of the ‘The Taming of the Shrew’, this show follows the sparring actors and their romantic entanglements. Lafrowda Day @ St Just, Saturday 15th July
Lafrowda Day Is an annual event which is part of Lafrowda Festival, an event to celebrate community arts. The theme this year is ‘where the wild things are’ and with a whole twelve hours of entertainment, there will surely be something to suit everyone’s taste! All roads are closed off, the decorations go up and the town is filled with street performers, stalls, refreshments, bouncy castles and three spectacular processions.

Charlestown Regatta Week @ Charlestown, Saturday 22nd – Friday 28th July
Join the village which is home to Poldark in their annual week of fun this July! It’s a jam-packed schedule boasting live music, pasty demonstrations, raft races, water polo, a magic show and triathlon. Charlestown is a beautiful setting thanks to the Georgian harbor so you can either relax and take in the view and atmosphere or try your hand at one of the many fun activities on offer. Party band The Strutts will be playing on the Monday and promise to make you want to get up and shake it!
