As many as 47,000 British women may be entitled to claim PIP breast implant compensation, but they should act quickly as the next hearing is scheduled for 17th December 2018.
Following the landmark ruling of the French Supreme Court (10 October 2018) it has been estimated that a staggering 400,000 women worldwide may now be able to recover compensation for their defective PIP breast implants.
The Cour de Cassation in Paris overturned the French Court of Appeal, opening the way for PIP victims across the world to seek compensation from German company, TUV Rheinland which certified the faulty implants.
Although some British PIP victims have received compensation, many more remain without recompense. It had been feared that those women would never receive justice, but this latest ruling has given them hope that at long last they will be able to claim PIP breast implant compensation.
In collaboration with French lawyer Olivier Aumaitre we have been battling in the French courts on behalf of a group of British women. This latest decision means their claims can now progress and we are hopeful that compensation payments of up to 20,000 euros will be made.
It also allows a new group of women who had previously missed out on compensation to present a claim.
