North Devon+ prides itself on delivering positive change to the community. Established in 2008, the ‘not for profit’ company provides a primary focus on regeneration and business development across the area.
As the economic delivery agency for the area, North Devon+ has a solid main objective; they aim to be the enabler of economic growth for people, businesses and communities in Northern Devon to help them flourish and prosper. That is quite the objective! By working closely with local councils and the private sector, the company is able to deliver projects and initiatives that encourage and support business growth whilst also improving the quality of life in the area.
The company offers an extensive range of services to support business and communities in North Devon. These services include programme and project management, bid writing, business support, and marketing, creative and digital services.
As well as this, North Devon+ has a strong focus on learning. Their various training and workshop opportunities allow local businesses to boost their skills. From cash flow forecast workshops, to lessons on social media; there is a lot to be learnt with this organisation.
North Devon+ also looks to the future, and supports apprenticeships and skills across the area. In 2008 they formed the Employment and Skills Board, which listens to the needs of employers in relation to employment and skills issues. Their carefully constructed Skills Action Plan works to improve the opportunities for both those entering the workplace, and those creating the workplace.
