Tucked away in the north of the county, between Dartmoor and Exmoor, Jo and Tim run a farm complete with cattle, sheep, crops, and even a cider orchard filled with chickens roaming freely. The 350 acres are farmed traditionally, free from drugs and antibiotics.
Higher Hacknell have been farming organically since 1988 with the goal to embrace all aspects of the farming system, particularly regarding animal welfare, wildlife conservation, and food safety. The farm produces a vast array of meats, including beef, lamb, pork, and poultry.
