Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes are an English punk rock band formed in 2015 by former Gallows and Pure Love frontman Frank Carter. They released one EP in May 2015 called Rotten, and launched their debut album Blossom via Kobalt Label Services in August 2015. They revealed their second studio album, entitled Modern Ruin, on 28 September 2016, which was released in January 2017 via International Death Cult. The album was produced by Thomas Mitchener at the Studio Broadfields in Watford

Ben Hutchinson & Al O’Kane, The Acorn, Penzance, Thursday 17th May, 8pm
Ben is an emerging Folk Rock artist from South West England. Ben Hutcheson bridges the storytelling gap between Passenger, Ed Sheeran and Tim McGraw making him an act to look for in the near future. Starting out from humble beginnings in Bristol, he’s become a growingly aware and prominent artist to look out for. His music career started as a young teenager and since then has gone on to play all around the South West of England. He resides in Bath where he is currently studying Commercial Music at Bath Spa University. Be sure not to miss this performance!

Royal wedding garden party at Knightor, Knightor Winery, St Austell, Saturday 19th May, 11am
No invitation to the Royal Wedding? Not to worry! Knightor Winery are hosting a garden party in Harry and Meghan’s honour on Saturday 19th May and everyone is invited! From 11am doors will open for a day of quintessentially British celebration. Watch the wedding coverage on screens in the courtyard with the ceremony starting at 12 noon. After the ‘I do’s’ stay on into the afternoon for live music from local Indie/folk band Bache. The kids will be kept entertained too with a bouncy castle, two play areas and 4 acres of grounds to explore. For the wedding feast a hog roast in the courtyard will be served with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling plus homemade salads and sides from the winery kitchen.

Forage, Cook and Feast, Fat Hen – The Wild Cookery School, Penzance, Friday 18th May
This course is designed for anyone who is inquisitive about wild food and foraging and is aimed at adults but is open to all. They touch on the wide variety of wild foods available with an introduction to cooking fish and/or wild game. The taster day involves a 2 hour foraging trip to some of West Cornwall’s wild landscapes: seashore, hedgerow, woodland & farmland to forage for seasonal wild edible herbs, vegetables, seaweeds, fungi, roots, seeds & berries. Caroline will teach you how to forage safely and legally and will share some top chefs’ tips for incorporating these ingredients into your cooking.
