With the fantastic surrounding that Devon has, it’s no surprise that outdoor pursuits are very popular, especially when the weather is good!
To give you a taste of what you could be getting up to this summer, we called on the help of our Twitter followers to provide us with their ten favourite places to do outdoor pursuits, and here are their suggestions:
Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre (HBOEC), Exeter
Based in the heart of Exeter, HBOEC offers loads of different activities and outdoor pursuits for all the family. From archery to kayaking, climbing to team building, there’s plenty to do and plenty of activities to satisfy everyone!
Jurassic Coast Guides, Devon/Dorset coast

So nice it’s mentioned twice – Parkrun is also available in Seaton every Saturday at 9am. Parkrun boasts a friendly atmosphere which will tempt you into taking up running as a weekly hobby. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Saddles and Paddles, Exeter
Saddles and Paddles specialise in bike, canoe and kayak hire, and are based in Exeter. Why not hire a kayak and have a paddle, or take a friend for a cycle ride around the countryside?
