Exeter Christmas Market, Exeter Cathedral Green, 16th-17th of November
This year’s Christmas Market will run from Thursday 16th November until Sunday 17th December, organised by Exeter Cathedral. The market, which will be re-orientated to focus on the West Front of the Cathedral, will still have a ‘Continental’ feel as in previous years but will also boast more opportunities to support local businesses and performers.

Teignmouth Farmers’ Market, The Triangle, 25th of November

Hunter & The Bear, Exeter Phoenix, 16th of November
Having shared the stage with Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, and Simple Minds, this young British band are making a big noise on the rock scene. Their highly anticipated debut album is set for release in May and the band will be touring their thunderous live show throughout the UK and Europe to support the record.

Classics Galore Charity Concert, The Great Hall, University of Exeter, 16th of November
Classics Galore is held bi-annually at the Great Hall on Exeter’s University campus and tickets are always in demand. This will be the 6th time that two hundred musicians and singers from around the South West come together to put on an evening of popular classical music, with a Proms style finale. The concerts have so far raised £68,600 for cancer charity FORCE.
This year’s gala concert will as usual offer a wide selection of popular classical music for orchestra, choir and brass band under the guidance of Musical Director, Malcolm Matthews.

Christmas is Magical, Babbacombe Theatre, Torquay, every Wednesday until Christmas
Music, Magic and Mirth in all its guises is what ‘Christmas is…Magical’ promises their audiences at the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay. This family variety show features spellbinding Illusions, comedic classics, hits of yesteryear and today, interspersed cleverly to deliver a show that has pace and will leave you brimming with good cheer.
The professional cast of eleven will deliver side-splitting original humour as well as a bountiful punch of musical moments. Enjoy, yuletide favourites, White Christmas, Drummer Boy & Jingle Bells, highlights from La La Land, Moana & West Side Story. The festive fun comes with performances of songs written by the late greats, Benny Hill and Victoria Wood.
