Roald Dahl themed character puppetmaking workshop with Doorstep Arts, Torquay Museum in Torquay, Saturday 3rd of March
As part of ‘Sharing Stories’ a festival celebrating Storytelling and Writing on the English Riviera. To celebrate ‘World Book Day’, Torbay Museums (Brixham Heritage Museum, Torre Abbey Museum and Torquay Museum) will be hosting a weekend of events, tours, talks and presentations with the theme of ‘Sharing Stories’

Oh What A Lovely War!, Theatre Petroc in Barnstaple, Wednesday 7th of March to Thursday 8th of March
The scheme for a chronicle of the First World War, told through songs and documents in the form of a seaside pierrot entertainment of the period, was devised and presented by Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East, London, in 1963. It was the result of close co-operation between writer, actors and director, where the whole team participated in detailed research into the period and in the creative task of bringing their material to life in theatrical terms.

Beer Bangers & Bands, The Public Hall in Budleigh Salterton, Saturday 10th of March
The successful Beer Bangers and Bands live music concert is back at the Public Hall in Budleigh Salterton on Saturday 10 March 2018. The headline act is Firekind (aka Ride The Fire ) – a Devon based 3-piece modern rock band with soaring guitar & vocals and a powerhouse rhythm section that could fill a stadium! With their fabulous own music and covers too, they are sure to be a big attraction, but there’s even more, with support acts starting from 7pm, it’s set to be another big night in the Budleigh calendar!

St Matthew Passion, Salvation Army Temple in Exeter, Saturday 3rd of March
Join Exeter Bach Society, Exeter University Singers and the choir of St. Peter’s School, Lympstone during the season of Lent for a vivid retelling of J S Bach’s masterpiece, St. Matthew Passion. Exquisite and dramatic, it is impossible not to be moved by this amazing work. Mother’s Day at Pennywell Farm, Pennywell Farm in Buckfastleigh, Sunday 11th of March
There’s a special day out for Mother’s Day covered at Pennywell with a complimentary cream tea for all Mums on 11th March. Elfic the Juggler is here to entertain with mad circus Skills, comedy and a pinch of danger twice today. There will be new spring babies to meet, half hourly activities like bottle feeding and meet the hedgehog to enjoy together, free rides and hopefully some sunshine to take in the views.

The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt – Easter Trail, RHS Garden Rosemoor in Torrington, Saturday 24th of March
