Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Keay Theatre, St Austell, 9th-14th April
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a 2004 comedy musical, with music and lyrics by David Yazbek and a book by Jeffrey Lane; it’s based on the 1988 film of the same name, starring Sir Michael Caine and Steve Martin. The musical premiered on Broadway in 2005 and ran for 626 performances. It has since received tours and international productions. This production is full of hilarious gags, big musical numbers and unexpected twists, sure to get you laughing off your seats! Please be aware that this performance contains some strong language.

Mungo’s Hifi, The Watering Hole, Saturday 28th April, 9:00pm, £9 p/p
Mungo’s Hi Fi are a Glasgow-based sound system and production unit who pull off that rare trick of making reggae/dancehall that is original and of quality. They return to The Watering Hole after a sell out event in the summer of 2017 for another big one!

Up close and person with Martin McCutcheon, Redruth Regal Theatre, Friday 20th April
Martine McCutcheon, first found fame as Tiffany Mitchell in Eastenders in the 1990s, before releasing her platinum-selling debut solo album ‘You, Me & Us’ in 1999 containing the No. 1 single ‘Perfect Moment’. Now 41, happily married, mother of a 2 year old, the time felt right to return to the studio. Martine has co-written most of the songs on the new album ‘Lost and Found’ with her husband, the multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Jack McManus, and she has never sounded better! The album is a deeply personal record that deals with everything from relationships to Martine’s debilitating illness that saw her unable to work.

Emily Maguire, The Acorn Penzance, Saturday 21st April
A classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, Emily Maguire is truly “a talent to be reckoned with” (R2 Magazine), her strong, thought-provoking lyrics, supremely expressive vocals and stunning live performances winning her fans across the globe. She has been featured several times on Radio 4 including Woman’s Hour, and Loose Ends. Emily is now back with a new book ‘Notes From The North Pole’ and a new album ‘A Bit of Blue’, produced by Nigel Butler, which follows a dark time in her life and is a hauntingly beautiful testament to the human spirit.

Spring Gathering, Nancarrow Farm, 13th-14th April
The Spring Gathering weekend is a chance for Nancarrow Farm to celebrate the end of winter & open their gates for two days of family fun & feasting. On Friday 13th & Saturday 14th April, you can wander around the farm, visit craft stalls, enjoy delicious food & drink offerings, see the animals & listen to local musicians. Each evening, from 5pm, guests will be treated to canapes from their Courtyard Kitchen, a tasty welcome drink & a 2 course Feast in the Barn. There is even the chance to stay & enjoy all of the above plus have a room in their lovely restored stone barn & a full cooked breakfast before you leave!

Porthleven Food Festival, Porthleven, 20th-22nd April
Porthleven Food & Music Festival, now in its tenth year, is a well-established event on the festival calendar. The Festival brings around 30,000 people together in and around the stunning harbour port of Porthleven with national and international chef’s theatre, food stalls, street food, music day and night and entertainment for all. The Festival is a non-profit community organisation run by talented, committed and enthusiastic volunteers from the local community.

Middle Eastern Supper Night, Crugsillick Manor, 21st April
As their Valentines with Friends night was such a glorious evening Potluck Cornwall will collaborating again to bring you another exquisite evening of flavours. The evening will be held again in the private house of Crugsillick Manor in one of Cornwall’s National open gardens. As all of their dishes are hand made on site Lafafa Catering can cater for all dietary needs with prior notice. To give you an idea of the food on offer, in February they served a delicious Mezze, Spiced lamb with jeweled rice and homemade cardamom ice cream! Please bring your own drinks/ booze.

The Gin & Prosecco Festival is a boutique type event of artisan gin and Prosecco tasting in a garden party atmosphere. Gin & Prosecco lovers can come together at one bespoke affair to enjoy both tastes. Tickets are priced at £13+ booking fee and includes a free branded gin glass to take home, live music, artisan food, boozy cakes, Prosecco bar with samples and more! Bars at the Gin & Prosecco Festival will work on a token basis. Tokens are priced at £5 each and can be exchanged for any single drink.
