Calling all Disney fans! On Monday 28th August Somerset County Cricket Club will be showing a special open air screening of The Lion King at the Cooper Associates County Ground. There’s something special about watching a movie out in the open, especially when it is one of the classics.

The film has also been named as one of the 25 all-time best animated films by Time Magazine whilst the American Film Institute listed The Lion King as one of the four best films in the animated genre.
It features the voices of James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Matthew Broderick, Whoopie Goldberg and Rowan Atkinson and follows the adventures of Simba the lion cub.
The screening will begin at 3pm with gates opening at 12pm.
Tickets cost just £5 and children under five years old are free.
There is also a special Family Ticket (four people over five years old) which costs just £15.
