Half term has arrived, and Mums and Dads will be pleased to know that Cornwall has a plethora of activities to keep teens and teeny tots entertained! Trethorne Leisure Park, Launceston
Conveniently located just off the A30 near Launceston, Trethorne Leisure Park is jam-packed with a whole range of indoor and outdoor fun! Say hi to the cuddly critters and join in with one of their meet the animals sessions, explore the indoor soft play areas, race on the didicars, test out your arcade skills or head outside to spring on the trampolines, play golf and take a paddle boat out on the lake!

National Maritime Museum Cornwall, Falmouth
Want to mix in a sneaky bit of learning with a whole host of sea themed fun? Then head over to the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth for their Science of the Sea exhibition taking place throughout half-term!
Enjoy the family friendly science show with spectacular demonstrations, explore the science of water, get involved in some arty chromatography and discover the museum trail! You’ll also find 15 galleries over 5 floors containing a mixture of marine delights. The museum boasts a charming café with magnificent harbour views as well as a gift shop for snapping up a little sea themed keepsake!
Rollers Roller Rink, Pool
Strap on your skates, Rollers Roller Rink in Pool has a half-term schedule that is ‘wheely’ fun! Offering disco sessions every single day of half-term, it is the perfect way to spend an afternoon that will appeal to little kids and not so little kids alike!
When you’re done skating, you can relax with some arcade games or enjoy a delicious range of American Diner style food! Think burgers, fries and waffles that come with plenty of topping options. Eden Project, Par
Got a creative bunch on your hands? Why not head over to the Eden Project and get Doodletastic with Tom Gates! They’ve partnered with the team behind Tom Gates and are encouraging kids to get involved with plenty of epic art activities, workshops and a creepy crawly bug trail through the Rainforest Biome – explorer’s hats at the ready!
There are also lots of cosy reading nooks to snuggle down in and enjoy a classic Tom Gates book, as well as all the magical attractions like the biomes, sculptures, and exhibitions just waiting to be discovered. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Austell
One for the nature lovers, The Lost Gardens of Heligan is putting on a special Sweet Dreams and Hibernation event throughout half term to celebrate the season of rest. Perfect for smaller children, there are lots of family friendly activities including a ‘Who sleeps in a bed like this?’ trail and crafts and games in the ‘Counting Sheep’ tent.
There is also a ‘sheepish tale’ to hear daily at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm, which guests can enjoy with a blanket and a hot water bottle, as well as a hot drink and a sweet treat! Note that both storytelling and craft are free with garden entry but will need to be pre-booked due to limited capacity.
Camel Creek, Wadebridge
Calling all explorers and detectives, Camel Creek needs your help with their half-term Character Week! They need assistance on their story trail to find the missing page from their character’s stories. If you’re successful in your quest you will be rewarded at their gift shop…
Their famous characters, Swampy, Dina and Creeky will also be appearing throughout the day, perfect for photo opportunities or just saying hello! As well as this, visitors can enjoy a whole heap of rides, attractions and an onsite restaurant that serves up plenty of yummy goodies.
Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay
Embark on an underwater journey to discover the perfect pairs at Blue Reef Aquarium! To celebrate February as the month of love, you can complete their spotters guide to find all the fish who have their ‘sole’ mate, as well as attend a variety of daily talks and feeds. These include the ocean feed and shark talk, tropical rivers talk and feed, and a special talk about Omiros the Loggerhead Turtle!

Take a step back in time with Bodmin Jail and discover their Junior Jailers Guided Tour! Suitable for ages 7+ with parental guidance, join the fascinating and downright shocking world of crime and punishment at Bodmin Jail! Immerse yourself in some grizzly history that is told with a good pinch of kid-friendly fun.

Star Glazers Café, Falmouth
If you’re looking for a little more lowkey fun this half term, Star Glazers Café is sure to tick all the boxes! A charming pottery painting café tucked away on the vibrant streets of Falmouth, it’s the perfect place to let your arty side go wild.
Simply pick the piece of pottery you’d like to paint, get painting and then the café will fire your work for you. You can then collect it or if you’re visiting Cornwall on holiday, they can arrange to get it posted directly to your house.
