Owners of a new wedding venue in Cornwall are celebrating after a successful start to life as an exclusive location for brides across the country.
Launcells Barton, a family owned Grade II listed manor house near Bude, has already hosted a number of weddings in its first few months with bookings for 2017 nuptials already looking strong.
The site, which formerly included a Georgian manor house and disused agricultural buildings has been carefully renovated by owners Matthew Stokes and Lara Gill into an exclusive venue near the northern coast, offering ceremonies in a number of potential locations across the estate.
The venue hosted its first wedding in July of this year and has been busy ever since. Unique styling, a simple and classic backdrop, and the ability to have sole use of the estate for the duration of a wedding have all proven to be popular with brides from within the Duchy and as far afield as Australia.
The venue has also worked closely with local suppliers in a hope to support the growing wedding industry within Cornwall.
Excited by the development of the venue, Lara said: “We’re fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of Cornwall, so we wanted share a slice of our world with couples looking to get married near the Cornish coast. It’s taken an unbelievable number of hours and a lot of effort, but we’re so grateful to everyone who has helped us realise our dream.
“We were delighted to hold the first wedding at Launcells Barton in the summer and we’re now looking forward to the next phase and the opening of our New Events Barn in April 2017 and a year of wonderful weddings.”
Looking ahead to next year, Matthew and Lara are excited to announce that they have already secured a number of bookings, with only a few weekends left in the summer as well as welcoming couples to the venue throughout the year.
