As one of the leading culinary herb and edible plant nurseries in the UK, Lauren Farm Herbs and Edibles is certainly the place to go if you’re after high quality, wonderful produce.
All plants are grown in cold conditions, free from chemicals to ensure that the freshest and best plant is grown. A peat free compost and a slow release fertiliser feeds plants for up to a year, and keeps plants in prime condition.
Owners Chris and Jenny take huge pride in the quality of the plants available, and are insistent on high standards for cultivation and dispatch. Good sized mature plants are sent out, no limp or small plants will come from Laurel Farm Herbs and Edibles!
The farm produces almost all of its own stock from seeds, cutting, and propagation. Everything grown in the nursery is edible in some way, even the hedges and trees! The plants are grown to thrive in larger pots, 6 times larger than the average herb pot to be precise.
Their online site is filled with an extensive list of herb types. You’ll certainly find your everyday herbs here, such as rosemary and thyme, as well as interesting herbs you may not have tried before such as fragaria vesca alba! It’s certainly the place to go for the budding herb enthusiast.
As well as shopping online, you can also visit the nursery which is located at Whiddon Down, just off of the A30. It is open Monday to Friday between March and October and gives visitors a great chance to explore the hundreds of herbs that are available.
