To celebrate the re-opening of the King Edward Mine at Camborne, a full day of events has been planned to keep the whole family entertained.
The family fun day takes place on Sunday 30th April from 10am to 4pm. There will be all kinds of entertainment, including bouncy castles, a carousel, swing boats, face painting, craft stalls, tombola and performances from Vox Dance Studios and the Boiler House Boys.
To mark the re-opening, a piece of music has been specially commissioned and will be heard for the first time. As well as the activities, static machinery will be on display, with experts available to tell the story of tin and copper mining in Cornwall, giving an insight into this important part of Cornish history. Refreshments and food will be served all day from the new cafe.
A spokesperson for the Kind Edward Mine said: “King Edward Mine is the starting point for the Great Flat Lode trail, whether on bike, horse, foot or in a car, pop in and see us for a fun filled Sunday!”
