It’s not everyday you see a deer gallantly prance across a beach, but Dave Trott was fortunate to witness this amazing encounter whilst walking his dog at Poole Harbour earlier this week.
It is believed the Japanese Sika deer swam over from Brownsea Island, where there is a colony, before bouncing across the beach. According to the National Trust, the deer on the island are ‘very shy’, but not this one it seems. The video has since gone viral and been shared by people all over the UK.
