Closing date extended to 26 June for 2017 Tourism Awards in the South West including Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Bristol, Bath and Somerset
With so many significant events over the last 6 weeks, a short extension until noon on 26th June has been announced for submitting entries into the Tourism Awards across the South West.
For the Outstanding Customer Service and Tourism Event and Festival categories there is a later deadline of 31st August.
Entry is free for hospitality and tourism businesses as the awards are funded by sponsors and partners and all entrants receive feedback.
There are new categories for Guided Tours, Active and Sporting Experience, Spas and Wellbeing and Artistic, Cultural and Learning Experience and the Glamping category now includes alternative accommodation too. There are also categories for Hotels, B and Bs, Self Catering, Dog Friendly, Access & Inclusivity, Tourism Pubs, International Experience, Restaurants, Cafes, Attractions, Business Tourism, Customer Service, Sustainable Tourism, Events and Festivals and Visitor Information.
Awards organiser Robin Barker said: “2016 was a record year for the awards with more entries than ever before, and more going on to national success than any other region. We very much hope to maintain this momentum in 2017 and help South West businesses remain the best in the UK. ”
