The Tour of Britain returned to the South West once again as part of the week long cycling event.
Travelling from Sidmouth to Dartmoor, riders cycled 149.9 kilometres in somewhat undesirable conditions. Wind and rain greeted the cyclists as they passed alongside the Jurassic Coast and atop the climb of Haytor, as well as tens of thousands of supporters who were more than happy to cheer on the riders.
The Devon leg of the race was the sixth stage, and Team Sky’s Wout Poels took victory, having last won the Devon stage in 2010.
