Twitter users everywhere and anywhere can now obtain feedback in response to their questions thanks to a new ‘Poll’ feature.
Following a trial period, over the last few days Twitter has been rolling out the ability to create polls on all mobile devices and desktop computers.
We’ve taken a look at what it is and how it could benefit your business.
How does the ‘Poll’ feature work?
You can create a Poll by clicking the piechart icon in the box when you compose a tweet.
After clicking this box you can then create a two-option poll and instantly tweet it to your followers.
You’ll then be able to see how many people have voted in the poll’s 24-hour lifespan. NB: You can’t see who they are.
What should I ask?
Since its launch, people have been asking all sorts of questions, from how to eat a cream tea (jam or cream first) to helping others decide where to spend their afternoon in Paris.
If you’re using Twitter for your business you should consider asking a question that is related to your product or service.
