Cathedral Green, Exeter –19th November to 18th December
Known for being one of the best Christmas markets in the country, Exeter’s Cathedral Green becomes a showcase for the festive season. Find that quirky gift for the grandparents, or enjoy a tasty treat from one of the various food stalls.
Dickensian Evening, Tavistock – 25th November
Start your shopping and watch the Christmas lights be switched on at Tavistock’s Dickensian Evening. Drawing people from far and wide, this event takes you back to the ‘olde world’ with shop owners dressed the part; there’s festive fun for all the family!
North Devon Christmas Market, Braunton – Saturday 3rd December
Braunton’s popular Christmas market is one of North Devon’s largest events, attracting people from across the area. Search for the perfect stocking filler, whilst listening to live music and soaking up the festive atmosphere!
Plymouth Loves Christmas – 1st-18th December
Britain’s Ocean City is set to dazzle once again with its Christmas celebrations, featuring the festive market. The traditional log cabins house all kinds of goodies, or take a timeout from shopping and sip a warm beverage from the new Bavarian style bar!
Totnes Night Market – Tuesday 20th December
See the streets of Totnes transformed for its magical Night Market. With stalls, late night shopping, evening entertainment, festive food and mulled wine – there’s something for everyone!
Trelissick Craft Fair –Sunday 27th November 10.30am-4.30pm
Visit the craft fair at the beautiful National Trust property of Trelissick to pick out the perfect handmade gift for friends and family. This free event runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Padstow Christmas Festival – 1st-4th December
Dubbed the North Cornish winter wonderland by chef Paul Ainsworth, Padstow Christmas Festival is a delight to behold. There’s chef demonstrations, arts and crafts, food and drink producers, stalls and even a Santa Fun Run!
Helston Christmas Farmers Market – Saturday 3rd & 17th December
There will be festivity in the air at Helston’s Old Cattle Market for two Saturdays during December. Possibly one of the biggest farmers’ markets in Cornwall, this vibrant market is packed with some of the county’s finest food producers – the perfect place to order your Christmas goods!
Fowey Christmas Market – 9th-11th December
For one weekend in December, Fowey becomes a feast of festivity, featuring music, food and Father Christmas himself. From gifts to grottos, arts, crafts and lantern parades – this three-day event isn’t to be missed!
Truro Victorian Market – 13th-18th December
Attracting thousands of visitors each year, Truro’s Victorian Market is one of the many highlights in the town’s Christmas calendar. Make your way to Lemon Quay and you’ll be greeted by stall-holders in traditional Victorian costume selling some of Cornwall’s finest produce.
